The 15th Mediamixx’09 international festival and market took place from 3rd to 7th June in Albena resort. Vienna Insurance Group and BULSTRAD Vienna Insurance Group were general sponsors of the festival.
Mediamixx'09 was officially opened by Miglena Todorova – Director of the festival and Klaus Muehleder – Chief Executive and member of the Management Board of BULSTRAD Vienna Insurance Group.
At this prestigious forum of media society in
Congress was held within the 15th anniversary edition of the festival, where experts from 25 countries, among which
Jimmy Wales – the founder of Wikipedia opened the Mediamixx'09 Congress with special speech. He told about his Wikia project which is a unique platform, concentrating thousands of people in wiki-sites, where they share common interests.
With the prestigious Golden Umbrella Award Mediamixx’09 honoured the best achievements in media business.
The new Platinum Umbrella Award honoures the integrated thinking, creativity and digital innovations in media sphere.
With the Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Award for Best Advertising in Web and Mobile Mediamixx’09 opens a new era communications business. This award is one of the first granted to the youngest media channels in the advertising world – the World Wide Web and the omnipresent mobile phone.
Harald Riener – Head of Group Marketing at VIG handed the Cyber & Mobile Umbrella Award.
